so i heard all your opinions on the chrysler sebring, and decided not to get it. what about the saturn aura now? its a beaut fo a car-but does it drive well?
A: i work for dealership that also has a saturn dealership. the aura are a hot car right now. i have not seen any mechanical issues with them. my best friend just leased one and it rides and drives beautiful. he is also getting 30 miles to a gallon.
Q: What is the gas mileage for a Saturn Aura?
Does anyone know the rough estimate for the gas mileage of a Saturn Aura? Thanks!
A: According to the website: www.fueleconomy.gov, the 2007 Aura is EPA rated for 20mpg on the city street and 30mpg on the highway. Although, other owners have reported average mileage ratings of 18mpg city and 28mpg highway. Check out the website for more information.
Q: Is the new 2008 CHEVY MALIBU really just a SATURN AURA that had cosmetic surgery?
I think I read somewhere that the new Malibu is built on the same platform as the Saturn Aura. If so, why are they referring to it as bigger than the older models?
A: Yes, when two platfors get completely different bodies we call it a top hat. When two very similar bodies get different badges, like the Sliverado and Sierra, we call it a re-badge. The Malibu is essentially the same car as the Aura, which came out 2 years ago. That is why i don't see why people are making such a big fuss about it. The Aura is a good car, but they didn't do anything to really improve the car, and I personally think the Aura looks better. The Aura is a few inches wider and longer than the old Malibu, so yes, the Malibu did grow in size.
Q: What is your opinion of the Saturn Aura?
I went to a Saturn dealer and drove the new Aura. It's a good car, but the dealer gave me a real lowball offer for my 2003 Pontiac Grand Am (36,000 miles- vg condition) of $6,000.00. He then refused to discuss a higher trade amount so I left and bought a 2007 hyundai sonata the next day. Saturn dealers are clueless when it comes to marketing. And I think this "North American Car of the Year" award is fixed. The Aura is ok but is way inferior to the Camry and the Accord that it shouldnt win anything against them. My new Sonata is better than the Aura and way cheaper too. I dont see how Saturn sells anything.
A: I will never buy an American car. Lol, asian cars last much longer than American cars. My uncle still drives my dad's '92 Honda Accord, and it has never had a problem (just once, but it cost like $200). It also has way more miles than most other cars from 1992, since when I was born we would travel to Florida and NY a lot. You made a good choice.
Q: Has anyone else had issues with your Saturn Aura rear defogger?
Saturn tells me it is functioning, but I have never seen a more poorly executing defogger. I drive to work and see other Auras with a wet back window just like mine. It take my entire half hour drive to work to get rid of the moister..airblown of course.
A: my answer is try to check it out first on auto repair shop..
Q: Does a Saturn Aura XR HAVE to have leather seats?
I want all the XR features except the leather seats. I'd prefer cloth seats (Texas heat!!) but I like the other features of the XR over the XE--sunroof, inside features, etc. Does anyone know if they make a Saturn Aura XR with cloth seats? I know it could probably be specially ordered but I don't know if I'd go through all that trouble. Any help would be great! Also, if anyone drives one now, I'd LOVE to hear their opinion on the car.
A: Leather seats are optional on both the XE and XR, it is not standard on either, though you may find it difficult to find a dealer who carries the XR with cloth since it's the upscale model.
Even if you do get a car with leather seats, you can just cover them up with an aftermarket cloth seat cover, some of them don't look too bad. Of course, that means you'll be spending money on the leather seats plus a seat cover on top of it, but on the other hand it should keep your seats well preserved and help its re-sale value should you sell it in the future.
Q: What is the song in the saturn aura commercial.?
I need to know what the song in the saturn commercial is, their are two verstions of the comercial. One of the verstions is newer and during the commercial the oil pumps turn into horses, i know what the song in this comercial is it is the good life. I am intrusted in the other commercial. In the older comercial it has cars turning into arrows pointing to were the aura should go. Also towards the end the car turns into an armored car and the narrator talks about saftey features. please tell me if you know!!!!!!!!

Q: Can anyone tell me programming instructions for the keyless remote for a 2007 Saturn Aura?
I just bought a new remote and the owners manual does not give instructions on programming it. It's only says "See your retail dealer". That's really pathetic when someone lives over an hour from a dealer like I do. Is there some fifty thousand dollar special remote programming machine(haha). Thanks for your help.
A: sorry the dealer is the only one with the programer computer
some times a locksmith will buy one you can call one
your car and the remote and a programing computer needs to be in the same place at the same time you have 2 you need the 3rd

I watch them being built in Kansas City every day, well when I am in the plant.
I have driven the XR for a road trip, when I borrowed it from a person at the plant who has one. it drove like a dream but if the road gets a bit bumpy the suspension is pretty stiff and you really feel the road.
Over all I loved it. and yes it has adequate power. If you wait you can get a new Hybrid which is in limited production. This car and the Malibu are both to be hybrids. but even in the body shop with no frills at all the Aurs looks tons better than the Malibu.

I just want to know what are the diffrences between them. Because i am thinking of buying that car..but i dont get it when they have the car listed under XR and XE

Q: Which one would you choose: Saturn Aura or Chevy Malibu?
Saturn Aurua or Chevy Malibu? Those are my two favorite mid-sized cars right now. Which one would you choose and why? What are the pros and cons of each? I know both are by GM but every model is different. Please don't recommend me another car because my question would be which mid-size would you like instead of me just singling out the two of them.

A: Bought a leftover 07 Aura XR 2 months ago and love it. It gets about 21 mpg in mixed driving, however, I haven't taken a trip yet. It's rated at 28 mpg highway and that should be very accurate. With 252 hp, it's more powerful than most competition and it's a great value, probably $3-4k less than it should be. Handling is excellent and quietness is nearly Lexus-like. I have a couple small issues: a vibration at some speeds (likely minor) and the rocker panels aren't properly sealed on the vehicle which concerns me. Check the Edmunds.com owner forums for other opinions. Also, they have been offering 0% financing for 5 years! Good Luck!
