Q: 1996 Saturn Sc2 Check Engine Light OBDII 0141?
Well I bought the saturn and noticed that checkengine light was on...
The Error code is 0141 Something to do with oxygen censor perhaps. If you may know a couple of solutions list them!
I need to check fuses... But they may be fine. Also what bank of the o2 sensor should be affected if thats the problem?
A: po141 is for thepost cat convereter sensor. if there is voltage (battery) at the sensor., you will need to replace it. Yes ther is a few other things it could be but 99% of the time it is the sensor

A: Likely not. If you cannot find a replacement at NAPA auto parts you could also try calling an auto salvage yard who subscribes to the Computer Parts Locator System. They may be able to find one. It may be possible that this part failure is a result of another part failing and causing this part to follow suit. If you get the car to run, have an ECM analysis performed right away.
Q: 1996 Saturn SC2 Won't start?
My 1996 Saturn SC2 (140k miles) stopped wanting to start two weeks or so ago.
The fuel pressure is at 50 PSI, the fuel pump is priming, compression is fine, spark plugs are a little dirty but not terrible. Yes, before you say it.. The battery cables are spotless and it has power. All relays and fuses are fine. The car sounds like it wants to start, it's turning.. it just will not run.
Recently replaced the Crankshaft Position Sensor and still, no start.
In short.. the car has spark, power, fuel, oil.....Do I need a miracle now or am I missing something?
Coil packs are in order.
The car has spark AND the spark plugs are fine. It is getting fuel.
The car also has a timing chain, not a belt.
A: If you're getting spark (check the plugs - carefully), then the likely issues are fuel and timing/electrical.
You should have electrically actuated injectors. Check the wiring to the injectors - make sure they are connected properly, and are hooked to the right injector. As each cylinder is set to fire, on the intake stroke of the piston, the injector should receive an electrical signal to emit a fuel charge. This is handled by the Power-train Control Module, which in turn is depending on the wires going to the correct injectors. So you have spark timing (not adjustable on this car - controlled by the PCM), and fuel timing.
If you did the Crankshaft Position Sensor yourself, check the connections for any wires or harnesses you had to remove to get to the sensor, and follow the injector harness to make sure it's all connected. If you have fuel pressure, you still need to open the injectors to spray fuel into the cylinders.
Q: how to replace headlamp bulb on 1996 saturn sc2?
A: You may have to take the battery out or you may have to go as far as taking the finder and grill loose to get the light out before you replace the bulb. I'm not sure which. It takes a 906TD for an SL1 or SL2.If there is more than one bulb then I can get the #'s of the bulbs for you. Once out just turn the ring and it should pull out.
Q: I have a 1996 Saturn SC2 Coupe?
Its been leaking antifreeze all over the over heating light won`t go off. Even when you add antifreeze. When you do add it it leaks all over. Plus the belt is going out on it. My question is with the belt going bad does that have any thing to do with the antifreeze leaking out.
A: The water pump is probably going bad. It sit right below the AC compressor, if it leking coolant around there thats the most likely cause.
To see if the bearings in the water pump are kaput take a look at the WP pulley and see if it looks square to the one on the AC. And lastly you can take a sturdy screwdriver, wedge it behind the WP pulley and "gently pry" on it to see if it moves. It may have a VERY LITTLE play but if it moves up-down and not just in and out thats the problem.

A: you will likely need to pay a junkyard to take it away. this car was worthless the day you bought it.

the back speakers r fine but i dont like them on if my daughter is back there. the front i blew. i need something that still has the bass n treb. i dont know what to look for n need something that i can do myself. any ideas??

A: the freeze plug are locate in de block of the motor 6 o 8 total and 2 o 3 en the head

Could this be a timing problem or maybe a sensor that I'm missing?
I'm pretty sure the car has a timing chain if that helps at all.
'Do you have "Spark?", Check the Timing when you crank the Engine, if the Mark looks like it's "Wondering" most likely the Chain is Starched, Replace it.' --- What is "the Mark"

my boyfriend bought a flip-flop truck kit and doesnt know how to put together!!! he has a 1996 saturn sc2 and he need directions on how the hinges and stuff go. i dont know where he got the kit or what kind of a flip flop type it is but if ya could help me find the directions for it then i would greatly appreciate it!!! we have a bet going that i can find the directions...little does he know that i always win :-P thanks!

Q: Help fixing car window Please!
I have looked all over the internet for instructions on how to fix my car window, but have been unsuccessful.
The driver side power window oy 1996 Saturn SC2 is off it's track and won't roll up correctly.....and now won't roll up at all.
Any advice is appreciated!
A: Wow, do you have a mess on your hands. Your Saturn is the only car in the world that accesses the window by removing the OUTSIDE skin of the door. You will find, along the edge of the inside of the door, a bunch of torx (star shaped) screws. You need to remove all of these. Once they are removed, gently wiggle the edge and pry it from the door edge and remove the outside skin of the door. This will expose the inner workings of your door rail, track, motor and tape mechanism. The number of reasons the window is not rolling up or down are numerous. It could be your tape has broken and you will need to replace it. The motor could be bad, the track could be bent or the moulding could be worn out. Removing the skin of the door will expose everything so you can best determine the culprit. Good luck!
