Q: How much should I charge for a 2007 Saturn Sky loaded except for the leather package 27,000 miles great cond? ?
The cars in excellent condition. I looked it up on Kelly Blue Book and couldn't believe what price they where giving me to sell it to a private party! At max it said $19,000 something, I paid close to $32,000 for it.
A: Some cars tend to depreciate more than others, with almost no rhyme or reason to it at all. Many smart consumers research depreciation values before purchasing cars, although one probably wouldn't do that for such a kick-ass car as the Sky- sometimes other benefits are worth more than depreciation values. Some possible reasons for this drop in value include the fact that it is an American car, and American cars generally depreciate much quicker than, say, Japanese cars. Also, the Sky is a car that has passed in prime in the public's eye, meaning it doesn't garner as much excitement as when it first came out. Also, there are some great competitors to the Sky out there, which offer more benefits and/or value to consumers.
Nevertheless, you already looked at Kelly Blue Book which is a good start. Check out the calculator on edmunds.com, as well as other sites such as cars.com, ebaymotors.com, or Yahoo! Autos.
Q: Where is the oil filter located on a 2007 Saturn Sky Red Line?
Could you be as specific as possible. I have crawled under it and looked all around the oil pan but couldn't see anything like it.
A: If you open the hood, and are facing the engine compartment. Look down just in front of the intake manifold.
There is a black cap that has a raised hex on it. The filter is under the cap. It takes a cartridge style filter. There is a special wrench for it as well. If you move the coolant line/fill point you will have better access to the cap to remove. One word of advice, Change the oil when the car is not HOT, you will get burned changing the filter if its hot.
Good Luck
Kevin
Q: 2007 Saturn Sky Redline Edition?
I was going to trade off my Corolla for one of these Sky cars that I've heard about and I was wondering if this is a solid car? The only thing I really know about the car is that it looks very good visually. Any information would be most appreciated. Thanks!
A: The Redline is very quick. It is faster than a Porsche Boxster and Nissan 350z and Honda S2000.
It is average in reliability. Not as good as the Corolla, but still good.
Very fun to drive. 260HP turbocharged 4 cyinder engin. Handles great.
Q: Where can I find the 2007 SKY, by Saturn, available?
Dealers in the Southwest Ohio area don't have any available.
A: go to the manufacturer's website and navigate to "locate dealers" and pick one near your area.
When you go to a dealer and they don't have what you're looking for they can find it and transfer a vehicle from another dealership where it is available.
I'm surprised they didn't offer to do it. Have you gone to a dealership and spoke to the sales team about this? It's standard procedure.
Q: i have a 2007 saturn sky. it is not a redline and it is an automatic can i pu a turbo on it?
A: You sure can... check out www.turbo-kits.com
Q: 2007 Saturn SKY or Chrysler Crossfire?? Faster? More fun?? Looks?? Overall?
wtf r u guys talking about?? hick? valley girl?
I drive a crossfire, and I was thinking about trading it in for a Saturn b/c it's a convertible.
A: OMG OMG...LOL! (flips hair)
Q: How many Saturn Sky Redlines were made in 2007?
A: near 700000
Q: I am commenting to the guy who said a saturn sky, or a Solstice is a bad first car for a teen.?
I am going to have to disagree. See I am 15 and I just got my learners a week ago and my parents bought me a black 2007 Pontiac Solstice GXP, and they handle great. Just because I'm young doesn't mean I can't handle the vehicle. Also it doesn't give me one temtation to do something stupid. I am smart enough to know that if you get a car you don't hot rod in it or race. I would strongly recommend it to a first time driver.
A: Lucy,
Thank your folks for buying a Pontiac. I manage a fleet of vehicles and have a Saturn Sky in it. (Solstice's sister car). We've had some Solstices (Solstii?) too. They're great cars, fun to drive, and handle like a dream. The only reason I'd suggest a different first car for you would be to protect you from harm in the event of an accident. You can be the best driver in the world, but if some jerk in a Hummer on his/her cell phone collides with your little car because they're not paying attention...
Not your fault, but the car doesn't offer much in the way of protection in the event of an accident.
Stay alert, and have fun.
Q: what order did my car come off the production line.?
I have a 2007 Saturn Sky, how can I find out what order my car was produced in, my dealer said they have no idea, I think they are too lazy to find out for me. thanks.
Jim Here.
by what order I mean was it number 1 or nr 46, or number 1,843. there must be a way of finding out
A: The dealer has no idea and doesn't care. Contact the factory. It might not be easy but if you are patient and determined you can get through. Go through the Saturn annual report and contact the people listed for investor relations, consumer issues, office of the president, etc. Ask the person who answers for their assistance in contacting the right department to answer your question.
Q: Saturn Sky questions?
Right now I am driving a 2004 Chevy Impala, my lease runs up in 2012, so I figure by then I could get a saturn sky with around 40k on it in an early model year like 2007 or 2009 (because it will be then 2012) for not a lot of dough. I am wondering if this car has much space in the driver side, I don't think I could fit in it I am 6'5" however there are some cars that are small but they make enough space in the front seat, I can drive completely comfortably in the chevy cobalt which is not a large car. Thanks for your help.
I like the dimensions already posted, could someone post the dimensions for the car I currently drive for more comparison 2004 3400 V6 Chevy Impala.
A: You should be OK
As a comparison here are some interior dimensions.
Saturn Sky
Head Room: 38.4"
Shoulder Room: 52.7"
Leg Room 47.2"
Cobalt
Head Room: 38.7"
Shoulder Room: 53.0"
Leg Room 42.0"
04 Impala
Head Room: 39.2"
Shoulder Room: 59.0"
Leg Room 42.2"
Compared to your current car, the Sky will have slightly less head room, but this will be less than 1 inch. However, the Sky will have more leg room, 5 inches more than your Impala.
The dimensions are for the 08 Sky as the dimensions for future models are not yet posted.
Q: Saturn Sky New Wheel Help?

http://www.dubdaily.com/wp-content/uploads/2007/11/ti2.jpg
THE WHEELS --- i love all black and i have a black 08 sky so i want it black on black does anyone know a brand or link that can help me out thanks
A: The tire rack has a nice assortment of wheels.
Also American Racing.
Check them out.
Q: i want a saturn sky is that a good car?
i want to know if it is built well and if it has good handling and safty but i will not get it until 2009 so if i was going to get a 2007 and it had good milage how much will it be worth
A: sweet l - don't listen to the other 2 morons that answered your question. The Sky is based on the European-designed Opel GT, so it is a well designed car with good handling and build quality. It is nothing like the old plastic bodied rattle-traps Saturn used to churn out.
Q: Car Audio question for Small Car?
I just ordered a brand new 2007 Saturn Sky Redline with the monsoon stereo system stock, but I just can't get away from some hard bass. I just wanted to ask what kind of setup (Speaker+Amp) can I get that will satisfy me for some hard bass but not overly expensive. Mainly 1 speaker and 1 amp, the Highs are already amazing. The trunk is very small and if anyone who owns a Sky and has a system set up, please comment. My price range for this lil guy would be $250-$450.
Thanks in advance!
A: Being concerned about sound quality, price, power, and space, you probably should look at other owner's Skies and see their setups first-hand for yourself as well as hear them with your own ears. If you're lucky, you may be able to stop by a drive-in of a local Saturn car club or, at least, visit their web sites. Also, you may chat with and see what-else other owners have done with their coupes.
That being said and having seen the Sky's trunk with the top down, I'd think you can squeeze a compact powered sub-woofer, e.g. Kenwood KSC-SW1, Sony XS-LB10S in the trunk. Your options will definitely be dictated by available space, not power. Take careful measurements then visit your local electronics store and/or thier web sites. They have tools for selecting systems based on make and model, but I wouldn't trust them.
Listen to the car systems based on thier technical specifications, i.e. measurements met your space requirements because you don't want to fall in love with something that doesn't fit. You probably have plenty of time to weight your options, the waiting list for a Sky is up to 18-months at my local dealership. Good luck, I hope this helps and enjoy your Sky!
Q: Poll: what is your dream car?
ok hypothetical situation: say a family member decides to buy you a brand new car just for the heck of it, the only limit you have is 45,000 dollars, what car would you get? what year? and what color? me, i would go to the nearest Saturn dealership (ha i work at one, yes employee discount) and i would buy a Chili Pepper Red,2007 Saturn Sky Convertible, with the works, so, what would you buy?
A: A 1962 Ford Fairlane 500.
Q: Best car for a girl driver .. ??
Okay, so I'm getting a new car here pretty soon. And well, I can't seem to decide between these three ><. That's why I need your-guys' help.
Please please. Which is the best for a female driver? All three are V6 - V8 engines, automatic, and extremely adorable!
