Q: Saturn's rings in 2009?
So I've searched on the Internet for information on what Saturn's rings will look like in 2009. Yes, I ALREADY KNOW THAT THE RINGS WILL BE EDGE-ON AND DISAPPEAR. That's the most obvious thing if you do any studying at all. My question is, will I be able to see the rings in spring, when it appears in the evening sky??? One website I visited said they'll get thinner and thinner and finally disappear in September. So I'm confused here. Will I or will I not be able to see them in spring? P.S. I have a 60mm refractor telescope. Its magnification can go from 20x to 60x. So I believe that will help me.

A: No, in the spring the rings will still appear edge-on to us. Saturn moves very slowly in its orbit around the sun - its Saturn's movement that changes the angle of the rings, not Earth's. Saturn takes 29 years to orbit the sun - in that time it will be tilted at maximum to our point of view twice. The rings will gradually start to tilt to our line of sight again nstarting next year, and will be at maximum tilt to our point of view in about 2018.

Q: witch one would you take in 2009?
i want either a 2006 mustang convertible, or a 2006 pontiac solstice, or a 2006 saturn sky, witch one do u think will run the best in 2009 if they are all kept in good shape

A: Pontiac Solstice. The Saturn is actually heavier, and doesen't handle as well (which is odd, considering that they're basically the same car.) And the Mustang is...well, it's just a Mustang. Nice car, but kinda common these days. And still doesn't handle as well as it should. The Solstice is a pretty sexy design, without being too retro (retro is getting a little old these days.)
