I am looking at buying a 2002 V6 AWD Saturn Vue. What features come with this car, do you like owning it, if not- why? How long have you owned your Vue? Please only respond if you actually own or have owned one. Thanks!
A: We had one of the first ones that came out and went through2 sets of front brake calipers in less than 30k it was apparently a design flaw they made them to thin to reduce the weight of the car- well other than that we did like it very much but it cost to much to up keep the calipers and we traded it in for a Toyota Sienna which we love.I wouldn't if I were you.
Q: Does anyone have a procedure to replace the ignition cylinder on a 2002 saturn vue?
Please reply if you have this procedure. My ignition lock cylinder is stuck in th off position. By the way, where can I buy the cylinder and housing parts cheaper than the saturn dealer?
A: Put the key in the ignition lock, and try moving the key up and down while trying to turn the lock. There should be a little hole in the column, right next to the lock, that is the lock holder. Take a paper clip and insert it in to the hole and turn the key back wards pass aux. and the lock assemble will come out. If you can not turn the lock with the key in it, you will need to snatch the lock out with a slide hammer, or call a lock smith to remove it. You can buy after market lock sets for most all cars at the auto parts stores.
Q: 2002 Saturn Vue...won't start, engine turns over, lights come on. What's wrong?
So when I got in my car today to go to work, the engine kept turning over but the car wouldn't start. The lights/radio/clock, etc, all work just fine. I heard if the car will turn over it's not the starter. What could it be? Thanks!
A: Sounds like a fuel problem. check you owners guide for the fuel shut of switch (or nurses switch) and see if it is tripped if so press it back in. If not it might be the fuel pump. contact local dealer or repair shop. good luck.
Q: Is there a fuse for the fuel gage in a 2002 saturn vue?
The fuel gage in my car is not working and only stays on Empty. The low fuel light doesn't come on so I'm wondering if there is a fuel gage fuse that burnt out. If there is I need to know where it is.
A: No. the gauge itself is broken. Please don't ask how you can fix it because you can't,just replace it.
Q: Saturn Vue 2002 thumping and shaking feeling right front wheel when turning right..?
Hi I have a 2002 Saturn Vue, AWD 3 liters-that since yesterday has a thumping noise and a shaking when I turn ot veer to the right, it alsmost feels like the wheel itself..I brought to a garage weho told me that both axls need changing and would be at a cost of about $1000.00-1500.00 canadian dollars, as they state they cannot get used or re machined, but how do I know that this is true, and or a reasonable charge. I am a woman and want to make sure that I am not being taken advantage of..can anyone diagnose and tell me if price range is fair? Thanks in advance!
A: Sounds like it could be an axle. Price sounds VERY high. Try calling the closest SAturn dealer and ask them for a ballpark price on it.

A: should be on the passenger side of the engine.Crawl under the vehicle and look.I have heard some people say its easier to remove if you take off the plastice inner wheel cover and go in from the wheel well.

A: Take it to a garage and have a scan test done first to see why the service engine light is on. It does not mean that you just need to put plugs in it.
Q: Trade in Value 2002 Saturn Vue AWD?
I am going to test drive a new 2008 Saturn Vue this weekend. I currently have a 2002 Vue w/64000 miles on it and owe about $10000 on it. We bought it last year and I am sick of the repairs I have made with the car and just want to upgrade to a new model as there are many things going wrong with this one. I know we will take a hit on the car but am just curious what we may be offered for the vehicle. KBB trade in has it between $7300 - $8500 for fair and good condition which it is in. Thoughts anyone? A: I don't know where your located to give you a fair trade amount, but if you go autotrader.com for your area and enter you zip code and 2002 Saturn , allow 100 miles ratio and deduct about $ 3500. you will have a figure as to what dealer will allow you.

Q: My horn and security system doesn't sound on my 2002 Saturn vue?
I have had the fuses checked and I can't find the actual horn its self.
A: Factory security? Make sure your interior light switch isn't turned on. If that's not the case, then make sure all the door pins (and hood if applicable) work properly. Close all the doors and make sure the interior lights turn off within 30 seconds. If not, take it to a Saturn dealer. The only other thing is the remote itself. Does the keyless entry still work? If not, change the battery in the remote. Still nothing? Read the owner's manual to "re-synchronize" the remotes to the truck.

Please help. I know how to reset change oil light but don't know how to deal with that one!
A: Go to autozone and have the code read. Then go from there. The light is telling you there is a problem, so you can't just reset it.

A: it can be many things. the check engine light comes on when the power train management computer see a problem with input from one or more sensors, usually on more than one occasion, it will then set a fault code related to the particular system the problem is affecting.
the long and short of it is, the computer sees a problem and these problems require the services of a trained auto tech and specialized equipment to accurately diagnose and repair the problem.
for the gentleman above, on a GM vehicle the "Service Engine Soon" or SES light is the MIL or malfunction indicator light or as it is affectionately know in our industry by the generic term "Check Engine Light".
Q: I have a 2002 saturn vue v6 3 litre. upon gassing up I noticed that the service soon light would come on.?
Saturn Vue 2002 AWD, v6 3 litre.My service soon light would come on and off every few days.( (staying on for a few days), I also had a couple of times that it did not want to accept gas, kept clicking off.
Now when I start it up, i smell gas and it is a rough start up, seemingly wanting to stall, any ideas, oh ya, once had checked a few months ago and they said there was a oxygen sensor needing chaning, could this be the prob? Should I continiue to drive it, any ideas re diagnosis, cost, labor involved..Thanks in advance!
A: It's possible it could be the problem. Also, after you gas up, make sure your gas cap is tight. That usually sets off the check engine light. Oh, it could also be a purge solenoid or something else with the emissions system.
