Q: What car seat works best for a 2006 Saturn Vue?
Our son is 7 months old and his carseat has never fit properly on the seat. The backseats in the Vue are shorter than normal seats, so it seems, and it just doesn't fit right. Now we have to go to a convertible carseat and most are really big and I'm really worried about the seat not working properly bc it doesn't fit properly. I'm scared to death something is going to happen and he won't be protected. Does anyone else have this problem, or have a solution? Kirk, What convertible seat did you get? I'm sure if it works for you, it'll work for us. Thanks in advance!

A: I have a 05 Saturn Vue and we just a combo car seat at Wal*Mart. If fit just fine. We have been using the seat in there for a little over a year. We also just had another child so we have an infant car seat with the base in the back as well. I believe both car seats are Graco (I know the infant one is I am unsure of the other seat). If you want more information let me know and I will find out exactly what car seats we have cause the fit great for us.

Q: I have a 2006 Saturn VUE that is terrible & dangerous on slick surfaces. Besides tires what could cause this?
This has been the case since the car was brand new. It now has 22,000 miles on it. I actually have 4 identical cars (company fleet) and all have the same problem. They all have Bridgestone Dueler H/T tires. The VUEs are not all wheel drive. Thank you for any advice!

A: Assuming you don't have any alignment issues, it's the tires, they are the only thing that keeps the car "stuck" to the road. I just looked at some customer reviews on those tires on tirerack.com - there are a few different HT models, and they all have poor to fair customer reviews. Check this link and pick the tire you have: http://www.tirerack.com/tires/bridgestone/bridston.jsp Good luck

Q: Front strut is damaged on 2006 Saturn Vue. Probably happened when the left front end of the car was hit.?
If a fender-bender caused the broken strut, will Saturn replace it under the 3 year/36000 mile warranty? If I have to pay for it, should I replace the one broken strut or both front struts? Will I need a new alignment after the strut (or struts) is installed? Most important, what is the average cost to replace both front struts on a 2006 Saturn Vue? I need the cost broken down into parts and labor.

A: if the damage was caused by an accident then you should file a claim with your insurance carrier. Saturn would only replace it if it was defective. answer to second part of your question is yes the car should have the alignment checked. with alignment it will be about $400- $600 as these are still only available through Saturn

Q: Thinking of buying 2006 Saturn Vue anyone own one?
Looking to buy a 2006 Saturn Vue with 6,000 miles for about $17,000. Am I getting a good deal? Car worth it? love or hate your Saturn Vue let me know.

A: I would not do it: -old design back from 2001 or so -poor reliability -poor resale -cheapo interior -lousy motors - only high end ones have the Honda V6 -poor in gov't crash tests -newly redesigned and a good deal better for 2008 -does not do anything particularly well You would be much, much better off with a Toyota or a Honda. Grab a Consumer Reports. I would even recommend going to MSN.com, go to autos, reviews, and start reading up on vehicles. Perhaps a trip to the library to look at older car magazines is worth it too. The Saturn was so lousy and fared so poorly in tests, most magazines tested it once and forgot about it. Lets be realistic, reliability trends are pretty accurate indicators of what you are getting. Resale is obviously bad, this was probably a $22000+ SUV, and in 1 years time and next to no driving, it's value dropped a good 30% plus. $17000 is the asking price, and you can bet the poor sap that bought it and had to unload it only got like $14000 or so in trade. Perceived quality is one thing, but do yourself a favor and think rationally on this one. Reliability and Resale are both lousy. Get a Rav4, CRV or even a Forester.

Q: what does the outline of a car mean on my dash for a Saturn Vue 2006 ?
no its just a red outline can't find my owners manual, well its my moms car. and i don't' know where she has it. but shes a little freaked out because she just seen it on her way to work and she doesn't want to get stranded at like 4 in the morning' She has an owners manual, she just usually doesn't take it to work with her...

A: Read your owners manual. It covers questions like this.

Q: 2006 Saturn Vue V-6 AWD?
I have a 2006 Saturn Vue v-6 awd.. and i want to know how much HP it has stock. and what kind of motor is it?

A: The 3.5L is a Honda engine with 250 hp. The honda engine/trans combination is very well built and was what made the VUE into a decent car. The 08 uses the GM 3.6L as the top engine, it has about the same hp, but the engine hasn't been around to prove the reliability yet.

Q: How do you like the 2006 saturn vue?
good and bad reviews welcome

A: not bad, check out chevy equinox and gmc envoy too.

A: The V6 I believe has a honda vtec engine in it!

Q: 22's on a 2006 saturn vue will they fit???? or will it rub on the fender well????

Q: Which is a better car Lexus rx 330 or Saturn 2006 VUE?

A: the lexus rx 330 is 10 times nicer then any saturn and way more reliable!

Q: Sensor/Electrical problems with 2006 Saturn Vue.?
We are very happy with our Vue, but this problem is presisting and no one can get to the bottom of it. The overhead lights flash off and on, plus the door locks lock on the own as we travel down the freeway -- It's crazy! The only way to get it to stop is to stop the car and open up and close all the doors or kill the car. We've had the service folks look, but they are clueless -- this won't happen when we take it to the shop. It's been a nightmare. I just wonder if anyone else has had this problem ... or ... if you can offer some advise or feedback. It would certainly be appreicated. Thank you .... Roger

A: This is almost certainly a faulty microswitch in the door latch assembly, the problem is narrowing down which one (dont forget it could be the lift gate. there really is no science to it, the only thing i can suggest to help you narrow it down is that next time you are driving and this happens, stop, and only open and close one door, then drive on, if it continues, stop and try another door, etc.. once you think you have narrowed it down, confirm your suspicion at least once extra, and then have the dealer replace the latch assembly in the door.

Q: Can the 2006 Saturn vue v6 use e-85?
I am on E all the timeand i see peopl putting e-85 in there car because its alot cheaper here e-85 is like $2.89 and regular gas is $3.29

A: read your owners manual

Q: 2006 Saturn Vue owners...Do you like your vehicle? Explain.?

A: i love mine. i can get in & out of it without dropping down or lifting up into it. the seatbelt buckle mechanism is high enough i don't have to go searching for it like i do on other cars. it has plenty of power, rides nice, and gets decent mileage. best purchase yet.

Q: Saturn Vue?
We just bought a 2006 Saturn Vue and absoltely love it...anyone else love, hate or have tips on the Vue?

A: i own a 2004 Saturn vue which i bought new. so far i haven't had any trouble at all. it's a 4 cyl, with auto trans. gets excellent gas mileage.

Q: does anyone know what engine (make) does vue saturn 200 have, i know that 2006 has a honda?

A: The 2000 Vue 4 cylinder engine is made by General Motors. It is the popular 2.4L eco engine used in many GM cars. For 2000 the V-6 engine in the Vue (and L-Series) was also made by GM that was up until then used only by GM of Europe in the Opal Vectra. I'm not sure what year they switched to the Honda engine.
